An explanation of this flower series.
Flowers are the reproductive part of a plant. Plants produce flowers to attract bees, birds and even humans to help them pollinate so that they may produce seed. This then becomes a new plant. Flowers help humans attract a mate so that we may "pollinate" so that our seed will be produced and a new human is created. It is this symbiotic relationship that I hoped to capture with this series of photos. Human females are attracted to the beauty of a flower and a human male will use the flower to attract a mate. A male version with seeds or nuts is in the making to complete the cycle. |
