Today is Australia Day. Autumn joins the celebration of Australia's National Day. Australia Day commemorates the arrival of the first fleet which anchored in Sydney on January 26th 1788. Since then Australia has been through a lot for a new country and now boasts one of the most diverse group of people anywhere in the world. People from all over the world now call Australia home. I think it is the relaxed attitude that most Australians have that has allowed such a mixture of cultures and religion to live together in relative peace. I sincerely hope that it will stay that way and perhaps be a role model for the rest of the world.
