Brave Nude World.

Nude in white is a series with Angela that mixes traditional art nude, with elements of fashion. That got me thinking what is the philosophical difference between fashion and nudity. Not the physical, but the philosophical. I think the most fundamentally important one is people's reactions.

It would seem that the problem with nudity is not the nudity itself, but the reaction of the people around the the nude person, or model. It seems that so many people are fine with nudity, but they turn away from it, or are too scared to embark on the nude path, because of how people will react to their nudity. Some reactions by people when confronted by nudity are, they will lear in lust, some will admonish the nude person, which is enforcing their prejudice onto the victim. While others, usually family members and so called friends, ostracise the nude person. All because they didn't wear clothes. It would seem even clothes are not immune to this type of treatment. If you wear skimpy or revealing clothing people are subjected to this same behaviour.

How many women got raped because they wore a short skirt, and people around them said they deserved it. Just because the victim wanted to feel pretty, feminine. No one seems to ask maybe it is the attacker that is sick in the head. That they are using the victim's attire as an excuse to explain their horrendous behaviour. That same analogy can be used for people that admonish and attack a nude person for their lifestyle choice, or because they wanted to model for art, or even just to earn some extra income. Being nude is fine. People's negative reactions are not.

If you don't like nudity then shower with your clothes on and never ever take them off. See how long you can do it before it becomes painfully uncomfortable. See how long you can last before disease and infection sets in. Clothing is fine to protect from the elements, maybe even to feel good about how you look, but you will always revert back to nudity at some point. Some people just choose to do that more often, or for longer periods, or as a job. Either way they are no different to you, except they are happy and comfortable in their own skin. If you have a problem with their nudity, chances are you have a problem with your own. So don't blame the brave nude person for their choice. Instead look and learn from them. maybe you should try it and see how you feel about being nude.

Thankfully Angela is a strong willed young woman who has, like many nude models, put up with a lot of crap from so called friends and even family. After a time their families and friends learned and they accepted, that she is still the same Angela, they always knew. She is the same loving caring person, with or without her clothes. If you know someone that has posed nude, or has a nudist lifestyle, instead treat them with the same respect that you expect other to treat you.
