Zen nude
Sometimes we complicate our lives, by trying to do too much or have too many things, or be in too many places at once. Japanese gardens and art, have an elegant simplicity, which evokes a peaceful and calm feeling. This series with Sindy is based on this idea which is called Shibumi.
For this series I wanted to get the feeling of "shibumi" or simplicity and elegance of Japanese art, but in a non Japanese way. I think you will agree that Sindy brings the philosophy of "Shibumi" to life in these images. Clean lines, elegant form and subtle colours all work in harmony and bring a feeling of peace and calm.
I also believe that the nude body and form is the very essence of Shibumi. Take a look at Sindy's nude form and you will see what I mean. Her lines, shape and form create harmony with her surroundings and bring on a feeling of peace, maybe even a revered sense of awe, both in aesthetics and mood.
