Living Through History Today
Set in a historical setting of a grand old hotel, Misty-Day is actually in the process of making history. Like the old photographs from the late 1800’s of Parisian nudes, sometime in the future people will be looking at these photos and see a snapshot of today. People will wonder who is Misty-Day. What did she get up to. What life did she live her entire life? It is an interesting exercise to think about the future as if you are looking back into the past.
Coupled this with what is happening today around the world. Not talking about world politics here, but social changes in regard to the sexes, and nudity. Many print magazines (lad mags for example) are closing their doors around the globe and the finger pointing has begun. This is such a complicated issue and goes well beyond just "boobs on display". Images of nude attractive women have been around for centuries, yet it is seen by extremist activists like it is the cause of all the whoes of the world. Many people are literal and take things at face value.
Boobs vaginas and penises have always been portrayed as sexual. We all have one of them, yet how often do we use them for sexual purposes during the day? Just because we cover them with clothes doesn't mean they are not there. If we went nude or we had nonsexual nude images in the mainstream, it wouldn't end civilization and it wouldn't cause people go on a raping rampage. Yet that is what we are led to believe happens.
In fact seeing nude people is a healthy way to understand how we look and where we fit in the spectrum. Misty-Day fits one part of the spectrum. We showed last week with Alex, that we are hard wired from birth, to seek beauty and find it attractive. Misty-Day is a very pretty woman. There is much more to her than her looks of course, yet it is what people see first. It is how we are judged before a single word is uttered.
So what led extreme feminist activists down the path they are at today? What has caused their hatred of anything that portrays women as beautiful, pretty and feminine? We can only guess, and only looking at the history of those people can some clue be found. What leads a guy to becoming a misogynist or a rapist and so on? It isn't just reading a magazine or just visiting a website. These issues have a far deeper problem. One that needs more study to understand and far broader education that should start in schools, before they become even worse. Magazines are a vehicle for information or fantasy or both. How people interpret this is how they were raised and educated, or even manipulated by certain factions with their own agendas.
Men will always have a need for nude images or porn. It is how we are. By making men feel bad about this is not the answer and will definitely not make things better. Guys if you love looking at attractive nude women, then go for it, but just remember that those women are human beings with feelings. They are mum's, sisters and daughters. They are people like you and me. Posing nude is a job like any other job. They turn up to work, have skills doing what they do, get paid, then go home just like any other job. They are not "property" or an "object". Same message applies to extremist feminists too. Models who pose nude do so because they actually enjoy it and are good at it. Its is what they want to do. It might not be what you want to do, but what they want to do. Many porn stars and nude models are actually feminists too. We work with several who are. Feminism comes in a spectrum too.
It also takes hard work and dedication to look the way models like Misty-Day do. Eating right, regular exercise and so much more. I know I don't have the discipline that they have. Just as athletes need to eat right and exercise to maintain their edge, so do certain models. It is part of the job.
Models like Misty-Day enjoy posing and love being infront of the camera. You can tell in the photos and videos. It is a fun, creative process. How those women feel about it afterwards, depends on how you all react to it. Do you say positive things and applaud their skills and bravery to bare all to millions (would you go nude in front of millions of people?) or denigrate their hard work and call them sluts or anorexic or worse? We can all be a part of the problem, or all be a part of the solution. It's your choice how you want to shape the future. Always remember there are more ways to look at any situation than your own.
So although Misty-Day had no conscious intention of being a part of history, she has in fact played her part. She is living through an as yet to be written history. She is experiencing it right at the forefront in all her nude glory. Her nudity may play only a small percentage of her entire life, but it will be one of the most important percentage in her life.
