Why Isn't Nudity Legal Yet?

This beach is located just a few minutes north of Byron Bay and is the closest legal nude beach to Brisbane. There are many unofficial beaches in Queensland but not a single legal one, despite the fact that people go nude on them all the time. They even hold a nude “olympics” every year on Alexandria Bay. Yet it is still not an “official” nude beach.
Queensland Police Minister Bill Byrne's comments that the current laws were "designed to provide for the protection and safety of Queenslanders". What an ill informed statement to make from the head of the police force. It is indirectly stating that nude beachs and those that visit them are a danger to the general public. That their simple nudity is a danger to the community. That a person is a decent human being while they wear clothes, but the moment those clothes come off, they suddenly turn into a danger to humanity. How is a person sunbathing nude on a beach, or swimming naked, or just going for a walk without clothes, dangerous to anyone? It simply isn’t.
The police minister needs to realise that illegal activity can be done clothed too. In fact the overwhelming majority of crimes are committed while people are clothed.
If one state can have several leal nude beaches then what is the issue with Queensland? Are all Queenslanders prudes and intolerant conservatives? Sadly many are, but they are not the majority. They are however a loud vocal minority. The usual comment from these people in regard to nudity is “disgusting” and “shameful”. An obvious parrot like repetition from other equally ill informed individuals. People who have never tried nudism. People who know absolutely nothing about nude lifestyle.
It is hilarious when you think about how these people don’t complain about seeing their own nudity at home, so they are not new to seeing a nude body. Yet they become a rabid, screeching creature when they see another nude human being. It makes no sence what so ever.
A beach is the most logical place to be nude. Some say it is the healthiest way to swim. Many countries around the globe have nude bathing. Some countries have designated ALL their beaches as clothing optional. Which is the way it should be everywhere.
Alexia is relatively new to nudism, but she is enjoying her new found lifestyle. As you can see she is not doing any horrible activity. She is just simply nude on a beach making some beautiful nude art. Nudism is a lifestyle that is healthy, fun and very liberating both physically and emotionally. Lets hope that when a black flag flies in the future, it will purely be just a fashion statement.
